Solar Fountain Battery Backup Information:

A battery backup lets you extend the running time of the solar water fountain even after dark when you manually set it to the BATTERY position. In good sunlight conditions, the solar pump will be powered by energy directly from the sun, and will run continuously as long as the sun is shining. At the same time, the interior battery pack will be recharged via excess solar energy.

During cloudy days or at night, if the battery is fully charged, the batteries will power the fountain for up to 4 hours in the BATTERY position. When the batteries are depleted, the system will automatically switch back to SOLAR, and the bird bath will resume running when the sun come out the next day.

When you want your Solar Tiered Garden Fountain to run only in the evening for your parties or special occasions, turn the pump to the OFF position the day before. The battery will then store all of the sun's energy during the sunny day, and the fountain will not run until you turn the pump back ON for your party, and push the BATTERY button manually. This will ensure that you get the optimum amount of run time from your water pump to keep the water flowing.
