This Gama Sonic Casita Black solar coach light was built to be powerful and beautiful when installed, with the newest technology in solar powered lighting incorporated:

• LuminCore technology allows the LED bulbs to be directed to the exterior of the lantern, the light will shine out and down from the glass to better illuminate the area.
• Morph Solar Panel technology allows the 4.8W solar panels to draw the absolute most energy from the sun that it can, in the least amount of time. Four intense sun hours can charge the internal battery for all night lighting.

The Casita solar coach lantern is also built to last, with quality cast aluminum, and real beveled hammered glass lenses to diffuse the lighting for a gorgeous look and glow. The morphed solar panels are protected from the elements with tempered glass and have a 10 year lifespan, the LED bulbs have a 10 year lifespan, and the Lithium Ion Battery has 2000 on/off cycles for a 5 year lifespan before it must be replaced.

The solar carriage lantern has 2700K Warm White LED, with 150 Lumens of light output. It has a High/Low switch for you to choose the amount of brightness and light duration you want. You will receive up to 2 nights of lighting on Low, and 10 to 12 hours on High.

The Casita Gama Sonic solar lamp post light has 2 mounting choices included with your purchase. The hardware includes screws and a flat base for a Flat Mount on a Column or Pedestal, and the 3" fitter Pole that will fit over your existing 3" electric light pole.

The solar column, pole mount and pedestal flat mount installation size is 9.13" W x 9.13" D x 15.25" H. The flat mount plate is 6.25" x 6.25" for installation onto your brick, concrete or wood pedestal and column.

Although the Casita solar carriage light has space for TWO batteries, it comes with only ONE battery from the factory. Here is a link to the 3.2V 3000mAh Lithium Ion Battery Pack if you want twice the energy storage capacity and longer light duration. You do need the solar panels to receive more than 4 hours of sun during the day to make it worthwhile to have the 2nd battery.

When you receive your solar coach lantern, your first step will be to turn it on, to test either in a dark room or by covering the solar panels completely with a towel, and for it to automatically light at night:

• Remove the finial (top) form the lamp by removing the set screw
• Locate the switch on the top of the solar lamp top and move it to one of the following positions - LOW for softer light and longer light duration, or HIGH for brighter light but less hours of light duration
• Place the finial back on top of the lamp, and use the set screw to secure it
• Your lantern will now automatically turn on at dusk, and off at dawn.

No electrical wiring is required, and your electric bill will not increase when you install a solar lamp post light. It is completely solar powered, and needs just the sun to charge the internal battery pack. Here is a link to the Casita Instruction Manual.

The only maintenance required is to periodically wipe off the solar panels gently to remove dirt, and to brush snow off the solar panels during the Winter. This will allow for optimum charging when the solar panel is exposed to the sunshine.
